The Pennyroyal Opera House will host a bluegrass show today, Friday, September 24, featuring Mountain Highway.
With a style of their own, Mountain Highway is an authentic young family band steeped in traditional bluegrass and gospel music originally made famous by icons like Bill Monroe, Flatt & Scruggs and Ralph Stanley.
The group is made up of four siblings who play banjo, violin, mandolin and guitar, with their father playing the double bass. The group is often praised for its close family harmony. Mountain Highway is originally from Lynchburg, Virginia, but travels extensively to perform at popular music venues, festivals, fairs, and churches in New York, Texas.
The kitchen and the doors of the Pennyroyal Opera House open at 5 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m.
The Pennyroyal Opera House is 100% volunteer and is located in Fairview, Ohio, just off Interstate 70 at exit 198.
